About Shannon
I received a Masters degree in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. I have been working with individuals, couples and groups since 2006 and have extensive training and experience working with women, couples and eating disorder-related issues.
I have worked in a variety of therapeutic settings including The Marina Counseling Center, APTED Eating Disorder Clinic, Beyond Hunger, The Integral Counseling Center and Alvarado Elementary School.
My style is collaborative and interactive. I take an integrative approach that addresses the whole client (mind, body, heart). I work with each client to develop specific therapeutic goals in order to provide a treatment plan that is personally effective and empowering. I am influenced by a variety of therapeutic modalities including psychodynamic, humanistic, experiential, relational and mindfulness.
Prior to entering the field of psychothearpy, I enjoyed a 15 year career in the corporate world as a marketing and management executive, I am also an experienced workshop leader, executive coach and trainer.
